  5. 1. How to apply mineral foundation
Turn the jar over, tap the the bottom of the jar with your finger, turn right side up and open. You should find a small amount of Minerale mineral cosmetics foundation in the lid. If not, turn over and tap a little harder to loosen the minerals.

Using your professional Kabuki brush or a large face brush, swirl the foundation onto the brush and tap the excess back into the lid.
Apply with short, feathery downward strokes and/or light circles. When you've gone over your entire face, leave it to set for a couple of minutes while you work on your eyes.
To reduce the appearance of lines, apply small amounts of powder and avoid applying too heavily. Use neutral and earthy colors on mature skin, as this gives a fresher appearance.

    2. How to apply mineral eye shadows
Using the eye shadow brush, tap some eye shadow into the lid. Swirl the shadow onto your brush and tap off the excess. Apply as required. you will find that the mineral shadows glide on beautifully. Be creative and mix and match your mineral makeup to make your own colors. Glide on our MINERALE glimmers for an extra shimmery effect

    3. How to apply mineral blush
Using a fan brush or blush brush, gather color from the lid and tap off the excess. Use light, feathery strokes from the apple of your cheek back towards your hairline.

    4. How to apply mineral brow dust
Can be used wet or dry, apply with the Duel Shadow Liner brush, using the angled end to apply then soften with the brush end.
For mature skin, keep the brows arched as this gives the appearance of a face lift. Using brow dust gives a softer and more natural look. Avoid using brow pencils as this makes the lines appear harsher

    5. How to apply mineral bronzer and body shimmer
Using the fan brush apply the colour to any part of the body as desired, particularly the sun-kissed areas of your body such as the tip of your nose, forehead and shoulders. For body shimmers, apply with a large powder brush to the neck line to create an even tone from your face to your neck and chest area.

    6. How to apply mineral setting powder
Using the fan brush or large powder brush, apply all over the face after applying foundation, eye shadows and blush. Apply lipgloss afterwards.
For mature skin, setting powder gives a beautiful silky matt finish and can take years off you. Simply dust the powder all over the face, paying particular attention to cheeks, nose and T-zone.

    7. How to wash your makeup brushes
With regular use, your makeup brushes may contain dirt, germs and bacteria. Wash your makeup brushes regularly, as a clean brush not only keeps your face clean and healthy, but also ensures that your makeup application achieves the best optimum beautiful results. To wash your brushes, it is recommended you use a brush cleansing soap, as using normal soap or shampoos will often leave a thin film of soap residue behind, causing damage to the brush bristles. The bristles may also become stiffer and more difficult to use over time. Run your brushes under warm running water stroking it across the soap bar until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze to dry and shake off excess water. Then leave on a flat surface to dry. To thoroughly kill germs and bacteria, use an anti-baterial solution designed for makeup brushes. It is also recommended that you wash new brushes before use to remove any loose hairs and clean the brush before first use.

    1. Dry Skin
If you have dry skin, you can spritz some skin freshner after applying mineral cosmetics. This will help skin hydration and correct a dry or flaky look. Use a brush to lightly smooth your makeup in a downward motion after spritzing.

    2. Too much shine or lines?
This can be caused by layering too thickly. Try applying in thin layers, and keep adding until desired coverage has been reached. It is also a good idea to wait a few minutes for your moisturiser to be absorbed into your skin before applying mineral makeup to ensure a smooth application and reduce appearance of lines, especially around the eyes.

    3. Uneven and blotchy?
This usually occurs when mineral cosmetics are applied before the moisturiser has been absorbed or the moisturiser does not absorb well into the skin. Try to wait until the moisturiser has been absorbed before applying your mineral makeup

    4. Skin tickles?
If you get a tickly feeling on the skin after the first application, don't worry as this could be due to the technique. Try applying again using a softer brush with lighter strokes, and slowly apply in thin layers until you have reached the desired coverage.
